February Wally Wood UFO

The point of the exercise is to stretch artistically and improve storytelling. It takes about 2 1/2 weeks doing 3 panels a day.

Step one - do a fairly good reproduction of the original Wally Wood example.
Step two - do a parody with a character from your stable.

You can see the original Wally Wood collection in hi res from the owner here.

Indiana Jones and (I think) Road to Perdition have quite a few of these alternate lighting/ background-to-foreground scenes. I'm pretty sure Moebius is a big fan of that as well, using his own Mucha style of hatching to achieve the same effect.

I like what you had to say Khylov - I think that the 22 panels do have a wider application (movies/ tv) than panel to panel art.

good call

next step: screenplay and pitch to a studio "22 panels- the movie"
